Thank you for visiting BCS Sitters, where our mission is to provide Bryan/College Station families a way to connect with local sitters who can assist with the care of their children, home, pets, and errands.
BCS Sitters was founded in 2012 as a result of a local mom’s struggle to find trusted, reliable child care. After researching available options, she decided to create her own outlet to connect families and sitters. With ease and simplicity at the top of the priority list, a site where parents could post their needs and available sitters could accept them launched. The original vision was so successful that it seemed only natural to expand further with pet sitting, house sitting and errand running. Our growth has steadily continued, and we’ve also been hired for meal prep, organizing and cleaning, spending time with adults with disabilities, and so much more. The ways BCS Sitters can help are simply endless.
With all of our growth one thing has and will always remain the same. We’re still a locally owned small business where making personal connections with each member is our main focus. I took over the business with a huge leap of faith in July of 2016. I moved to College Station in 2005 as a freshman at Texas A&M (WHOOP!), but I loved living in BCS so much that I couldn’t imagine settling down anywhere else after graduation. Owning BCS Sitters has given me the opportunity to continue being involved with the children and families in our community while also being able to focus on my own family…because we all know time goes by way too fast! My professional background has always been focused around children and child development; working in a variety of settings ranging from teaching, to nonprofit case management, to preschool director. Children are my heart! I take immense pride in the responsibility of connecting our local families with the absolute best caregivers around, working hard to keep the whole process personal, but still efficient. Being a mom myself, I look at each situation through the eyes of both a manager and a parent. We’ve got an amazing, strong team, and our goal each day is to provide the best possible service we can.
